Six  essays about six different International movies covering the summary, major theme, and my reactions to each film.

  • Tsotsi-  is a 2005 film directed by Gavin Hood and produced by Peter Fudakowski. It is also an adaptation of the novel Tsotsi, by Athol Fugard and a South African/UK co-production

  • Moolaade- is a 2004 film by the Senegalese writer and director Ousmane Sembène.

  • Children of Heaven- is a 1997 film directed by Majid Majidi. "Bacheha-Ye aseman" (original title)

  • Bombay- is a 1995 Indian Tamil drama film directed by Mani Ratnam.

  • The Wedding Banquet- is a 1993 film directed by Ang Lee. "Xi yan" (original title)

  • Central Station- is a 1998 film directed by Walter Salles 


 
 

Watching movies from around the world can teach you a lot about different cultures and ways of life. It can physically show the environment people live in or have historically lived in.
